Brampton Mill, Bramptonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
My Family, brothers and Sisters and partners, ten in all, ate at the mill in Brampton on Saturday evening, 19th Sep, what a dissapointment, it was very loud, very packed and was like a rabbit warren, the food left a lot to be desired as well as being very expensive for what you got on your plate. What a shame, we have eaten there before, some time ago, it was nothing like this. We wont be dining here again. Sorry. Mrs W.Dighton.

And out of the chaos of refurbishment comes ...clarity.. A nice Bistro/pub/resaurant now , done up in old fashioned style so pleasant and relaxing. excellent selection of beers on tap, very pleasant. nice to sit outside by the river on a warm day, food is now very good , the manager telling me that the "microwaves went in the skip on the refurb" and the food is good..if expensive, Its not a drinkers pub and doesnt profess to be, but its been done up and looks nice now.. bravo

superb setting, nice place. had no real ale or carlsberg. service was non existant. asked to move three times before we ordered our food. After we ordered our food the manager told us we couldn't eat there because we hadn't booked the table. the bar menu isn't worth the paper it's written on, the retaurant menu is much better. It has to be said that the food ( when it turned up ) was very acceptable.NEEDS TO BE MORE ORGANISED.

I preferred the pub when my Uncle used to Own it. I loved the long Dining room and the large open log fire which has now been detroyed. This used to be a lovely building and would have made very old fashioned pub. Now's it's a wreck inside. The nicest this is the garden and the old wheel that my father returned to movement before the mill was sold.

I VISITED ON SUNDAY 10TH JULY 2005 ..... NOT REALLY THAT BUSY FOR A SUNDAY NIGHT , THE GARDEN WAS BUSY ,IT WAS HOT , INSIDE ....NO ONE !FOOD WAS OK, VERY DEAR !!! A LITTLE DISSAPPOINTING TO HAVE LOTS OF PIECES OF BROKEN LAMB ON A ROAST DINNER , LIKE SCRAPPINGS FROM THE CHEF ! A PINT OF ALCOHOL FREE LAGER 5.80 I THOUGHT WAS A DISGUSTING PRICE ! SOME CARAVANERS ARRIVED FROM THE SITE NEXT DOOR AT 9.03PM, WEVE STOPPED DOING FOOD ,,, OFF THEY TROT OBVIOUSLY. I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A PUB OF THIS CALIBER WOULD DO FOOD TILL 10 PM. WE WERE SAT NEAR THE BAR , IT IS INTERESTING TO NOTE SOME OFF DUTY STAFF ARRIVED 20 PAST 9 TO BE TOLD FOOD HAD STOPPED...ONE WENT TO HAVE A WORD WITH THE CHEF , HEY PRESTO FOOD BACK ON FOR STAFF !!! I HAD BEEN TO THIS PUB SOME YEARS AGO , IT WAS A THRIVING VENUE , DOESNT LOOK LIKE IT NOW !

I used to go here before the days of out and out with my family for meals. good place to go after the races as it still has good food. has changed loads in the past 10 years and due to the out and out management it has gone down hill compared to the good old days, when i very little and used to be amazed by the glass tables that could let u look at different parts of the water wheel. in the afernoons it can be a bit annoying as there's young mum's drinking wkd blue with babies, (sometime screaming).
worth a visit if you're at huntingdon races.

Horrid place. Is in a fantastic setting, and has a working water wheel. Shame Out and Out have ruined it, as it has no soul..
