A welcome retreat when the missus and kids are going berserk in the Metro Centre. You hardly expect "atmosphere" in a shopping centre pub, and you don't get any. A couple real ales will help you survive though.

Not the most exciting spoons in the country but serves the purpose of a shopping centre pub, severely slow service though and a strange queing system, 6/10

Cant really say much good about a bog standard chain bar in a shopping centre apart from it been more souless than a normal spoons bar! Pubs in the Metrocentre? whats the point

I have just been into wetherspoons at the metro centre with my family and friends. My 22 year old daughter went to the bar and asked for4 diet cokes and 1 plate of chips. The bar staff refused to serve her without identification. I then went to the bar to get served and someone approached me and advised he had refused to serve my daughter without id. I did not have a problem with this although no alcohol was requested, he then said he would not serve me without id. What a joke, i am 40 years old.We go to this bar twice every week for meals however this will no longer be the case. I have never felt so humiliated.A response would be appreciated.

Nice bar, only problem I found was that when the place is quite busy you can wait up to more than a hour for food. Not many pubs/bars in the metro centre.
