Closed, no longer a pub but a greek restaurant.Only has kep Kembles Head name as its a listed building and has history. Shame, used to work here in the late 80s, had a great time.

Has now reopened - didn't go in though

This is not a pub; it is an overpriced kebab shop!

It has re-opened, as a Real Greek Souvlaki & Bar. I haven't yet checked it out - no real ale at least is visible - but it looked busy and people were happy!

This one is re-opening on the 23/3/06 as a Greek restaurant/pub...

This was my local for over a year, a real old man pub with a hot barmaid, the grime only added to the atmosphere.
Not the best selection of beers but still a great place. Closed down after it changed hands and is now boarded up.
Does anyone know what will happen to it now?

I always had a soft spot for this pub 'cos they had a sign up saying you could use their toilets even if you were just passing and didn't buy anything. DOWN WITH TOILET FASCISM!
|
Now closed for good. Boarded up.

Have only been in once, but the atmosphere was grimy and two of my friends who ate there had upset stomachs the next day... shan't be going back.

Not a bad little pub although can seem a little bit dead at times. Good for passing the time with a paper if you have to meet someone later maybe. Nice interior decor although the bar is rather bereft of delights if, like me, you prefer a bar to be almost over flowing with exotic concoctions. Good for: Midweek/daytime

February 2003, My grandson and I had several meals and drinks at the Kemble's Head. The service was friendly, the atmosphere low key: just right for before the show. Despite our family connection, though, we were offered no freebie!

a great place, friendly local people are often there.
