The ONLY good thing about this pub is, or rather was, the brilliant Tuesday quiz hosted by a right comedian (in a good way). I've just heard they are scrapping it for a bingo night. This quiz has been going for over 20 years and was very popular, but we all got the feeling the landlord would rather dumb the place down still further. Avoid at all costs.

For telboy99. I do remember the Sat night trad jazz sessions, The band was Mike ???? Stompers. Mike was on trumpet.

Fond memories of Whittington in the late 1950's when traditional jazz nights stimulated a lifelong love of live music. Anyone remember the name of the ' resident ' trad jazz band ?

Rude staff, rude management, food was cold. And to think it was recently re-furbished - shame about re-furbing the staff! Re-furb makes it look smaller, less pool tables and they've even increased the prices of the already very over-expensive drinks in order to pay for it.

One of the few pubs with a fair policy on kids, a rarity in Pinner where Herod would have been awarded the freedom of the city. It's your typical estate pub but a far better bet than half the local half-timbered, half-witted drinking dens peopled by The Pinner Association.

This pub was called The Whittington before, as in Dick.

I grew up in this pub so am slightly biased but I love it. Full of old men and football matches you can't beat a good pint of Strappoman and a benson toot to while the Sunday afternoons away. Chin Chin.
