Now closed. Occasionally opens as a pop-up pub for one of the craft ale breweries for about four weeks at a time.

Great pub, staff very friendly - always show the Rugby and GAA for me no matter what other sports on, seem to be able to show 4 or 5 things at the same time... I have found my new local :-)

Surprisingly huge pub, friendly service, fantastic music on Sunday nights!

I liked it in here as there was a good vibe from the other punters and I found the barman to be very friendly. There is no real ale, but I wouldnt expect any in an Irish theme pub.
Like others have said, this is a surprisingly big three floored pub with a faux rustic feel at the front that seems to tail off as you round the bend to the large open area housing a pool table at the rear. There are plenty of plasma screens dotted about for the showing of Sky Sports and there is also a dartboard by the entrance at the front of the pub.
I would go back here if in the area again.

Looks quite nice, but no real ales here.

Very nice pub. Like other users have said, surprisingly massive with 3 floors (the 1st floor would be great for a private party). Decent bar stuff, reasonably priced drinks and the food's quite good too. The DJs they have on Fridays & Saturdays I've been have been quite ok too and got the place moving. Definitely worth a visit.

played our first gig at this venue on friday night. Its a nice boozer, great layout and in placed very quirky. Small stage area but we still managed to have plenty of space as a 5 piece. Its an Arsenal pub but its not overdone in here like some boozers. Nice bar staff, clientele were quite young crowd and for that probably did not know much of our material as we are a 60s and 70s band, but still got up and danced to some of them. Worth a look - there are 2 floors too, so plenty of room.

Great pub, think its been taken over recently and seems to be going in the right direction, went here on friday and had an excellent time really friendly pub, and its huge didn't even know it had 3 floor's till someone told me. i will be going back again soon as its the best pub in the area...

Quite impressive and spacious pub just off the Holloway Road. Manages to retain a cosy pub atmosphere despite it's size and has a well stocked bar which isn't too expensive and is staffed by friendly barstaff. Quite good for settling in for a relaxed evening but perhaps better for having a more raucous night out due to a loud Top40 and classics playing DJ and live bands. Excellent big screen TVs for sport. Bouncers patrol regularly so there is no chance of trouble but they have enough skill to stop their presence becoming distracting or intimidating and are courteous. All in all a good pub to pop into as part of a crawl down Holloway Road/Upper Street.

a right good livley pub

Not the best. Definitely not the cleanest. Alright for a quick pint to kill an hour, nothing more. Live horse-racing though, which is always a bonus...
|
A big sprawling pub that was still less than half-full on a Saturday night, so I'd hate to see how many people are in there on a weeknight.
These Tommy Flynns pubs are creeping me out. They'd be otherwise decent boozers but the pub-chain effect manages to get them bland, sterile and boring. And you just know you're in a phoney Irish pub when they have no Irish beer beyond Guinness. It's not that hard to have some Caffreys available. Or hell, go crazy and get some Kilkenny or something.
At least they had Magners. Whoopee for small mercies.

Great band called Qwicksand play here, come and check them out!
