Expected the usual Spoons offering however the real ale offering was limited - partly by the usual two 'available soons'. That tried - can't remember the name - was undrinkable with a strong metallic after taste. (reverted to bottles)
Food was hard to recognise from the menu and overcooked steak was accompanied by 10 chips, one 50p size mushroom and peas which had been boiling for weeks.
Maybe it was a busy Sat. evening however will not be returning!

Just been in. There was ONE member of staff behind the bar, but he wasn't serving. He was making coffee. Pity, because they had 5 Thornbridge beers on. Wetherspoons won't make much money if they don't provide staff to serve beer.

I meant to say "ONE member of staff serving" !

Usual Wetherspoons affair with member of staff serving. Waited nearly 10 minutes for my pint of Thatchers Gold as the barman kept on serving queue jumping regulars !

Has a beer "garden" at the back which I assume would have crowded had it not been raining.

One TV screen was showing horse racing and another was showing rugby - this is something I've never seen in a Wetherspoons as all the previous ones I've been to have just had BBC News 24 on with the sound turned down.

Reliable and friendly Spoons over a number of visits - average range but good quality beer, friendly staff and pleasant pub.

Fairly non-descript Wetherspoons. Seperate area for dining and large screen TVs so pretty similar to most other 'Spoons. Beer was well kept and the staff were friendly and the service prompt.

Good place to start a night out especially if you're watching the pennies.

7/10.

Good pub quick service and good food

A fairly typical Wetherspoons - very spacious with a good range of beers and reasonably priced food. Occasionally gets a bit raucous - best to avoid at weekends.

Busy, but not threatening.
Excellent choice of real, often local, ales.
As different again to what Wetherspoons stands for now throughout the rest of the UK.
I take my hat off to the management.

Wetherspoons has seriously gone off the rails and this place still seriously believes in the old fashioned virtues of good beer and pleasant service. MIND BOGGLINGLY SIMPLE.
