A very pleasant pub. Surprisingly, for what is meant to be a St Austell pub, there were no St Austell beers available - but the Hobgoblin which we drank was very nice, the staff & customers pleasant and we were given free snacks- I think that this is probably the first time that this has happened to me in the UK. Worth a visit if you like an unpretentious pub

Had a pint of Tribute here in the afternoon, but it wasn't great and nor was the ambience. Couldn't be bothered to finish my beer before moving on.

Hadn't been in this place since its renovation. And what a cock up thats been. The place had changed into a teen friendly type establishment. The Tribute ale we had was poor. The blonde bargirl seemed more keen to chat to her dullard friends than serve us. Won't be popping in here again unless its gutted.

by day this is a great pub but by night it's awful. turns into a mass of hormones and fighting drunkards and youngsters...on the upside though the stafff are friendly and presentable and the prices are reasonable. definately go by day people.

The Rodney - Fair enough pub. Nothing special about it really. Served St. Austell 'Tribute'. A good pint and reasonably priced. Bar staff were nice.
