I got dragged in here by a colleague with a craving for Pimms. Two members of staff saw me patiently cradling my cash at the bar, and both ignored me until I actually waved at them. As others have said, there's really no excuse to end up here. Thankfully, no one can any more as it's closed! Last time I walked by it was being completely gutted and there are rumours it will be come a Gaucho grill (which is just what the steak-gobbling, Claret-swilling city boys in the area need).

Shocking place. My friend waited 10 mins to be served (on a Tuesday afternoon), then paid for a beer and a cider. He brought the beer over, went back for the cider, to be told that they don't actually sell it! Bar staff have no idea.

Anyone who goes to Smithfields for a beer and ends up in this place really needs their head examined.

Don't go here unless you want to have your bag stolen. Mine was the 2nd one stolen in the space of a couple of hours!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ghastly, like all its brethren.
This is only place I have had to ask for the same pint to be topped up twice. Some clown poured an awful pint of Amstel (not my number one choice, of course but needs must) with a huge head. I asked for him to top it up, and he managed to hand it back to me with an even bigger head (we're talking a good inch, at least).
I pointed out that he was not serving me a Pilsner, and even if he was, he should serve it in an oversized glass. He shurgged, I think in a way that acknowledged he was a total chimp, and finally poured me a proper pint.
On the whole, I detest chain pubs. ABO is probably the worst...expect for those rather rancid Walkabout places.

Went on a Saturday lunchtime - the service was poor and we ordered food which mostly turned up cold. No idea how they managed such bad service as the place was very quiet at the time. Wouldn't go back if you paid me.

Like any other All Bar One.
Last time I went myself and people I was with suffered the worst barman I have ever encountered bar none.
