Sparse choice of ales: Cornish Best and Tribute. Beware eating the cottage pie (it nearly blew my head off) it is made with Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce!!!

Dropped in out of the rain at lunch time. It was almost empty which was a surprise. The beer ( St Austell Cornish) was excellently kept and served.

Friendly back street local.Trelawney, Tribute and the slightly misleadingly named Dartmoor (Why not Bodmin Moor?) on hand pull. Had the Dartmoor as was driving. Very nice too. Good value food as well.

Found the longed for Trelawney, good pint but not brilliant. Empty pub late lunch time. Girl behind the bar was very friendly to us travellers from South London.

I had a truly bad pub meal ever here, and that is saying something. Well, to be fair, 'had' is an exaggeration. We ordered a plate of chicken wings and they were pink and rawish.... urrrrgh. I didn't touch them. My companion did not want to cause a scene and said nothing. I hope this isn't the usual standard.

Did I meet the rudest, most racist and most dishonest staff in the country in the Weavers? I hope so! Either way, if you must go in this pub, try not to sound like a foreigner and make sure you count your change as mistakes might be made! A complaint has been made to the police for racism. Will it do any good? I doubt it, but I for one shall not return. To be fair, it was only one member of staff, but she was enough for me.
