This is now a Pizza parlour. So many pubs in Kingston have gone in recent years, either demolished or just closed down. Didn't people use them? There are places in the town centre where you think "There should be a pub here. And in most towns there would be."

The Firkin chain was bought up and disappeared, hence why the name vanished. The Tup in Kingston is a former Firkin and they had one in Richmond too. Brewing on the premises can be a costly business, too costly to be viable.
A place appealing to students there now would do well as the place is right by the college and not far from the uni. What's there now?

Let's hope that sad, overrated theme pub 'O'Neill's' is the next to go... Bring back PROPER pubs with REAL beers!

Twas a sad sad day when they closed this place, first Seamus, then the firkin, bet O'Neills will be next, bastards.

How many pizza places do they need in Kingston anyway? Huff.

The singer was rubbish. Always did like Firkin pubs, it is a pity they seem to be dissapearing. Even if you didn't like the pub, it has to have been better than a mediocre Pizza Restaurant.

Sorely missed. Served up some great pub grub and the best pint of Stella in the whole of Kingston. Only downside was the rubbish singer.

Used to be my local, had many a drunken night in there, loved singing along to Andy on Saturday nights!
