Bedford Arms, Oakleyback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Popped in for a drink a while back, Adnams Ghostship, which was very good. Decided to revisit for a birthday meal later, and was not disappointed. Nice ambience, good choice of menu, well prepared, reasonable prices, good service. Will visit again.

Been refurbed and has lost its pub atmosphere. It is now a pub/restaurant. Poor service and high prices.

used to be very good years ago, but a little jaded now......and over-priced for what it is.
|
Good food and pleasant surroundings. However, beware very high drinks prices for the area.

Nice pub, great food. The food is always piping hot and there is a good selection on the menu. Nice atmosphere and pleasent surroundings.

Very traditional decoration throughout, nice bar area and good sized beer garden, staff are friendly, good choice of food including a curry night on a Thursday, lovely village location, really nice place to go and relax.

If you're after a pub that's based on tradition, good service and efficiency then The Bedford Arms is for you. It's quite a big place, but has limited it's seating capacity by separating it into sections. However, there is a decent sized restaurant that serves really good food and the beers are kept very well too. This is a true English village pub that should suit everyone from toddlers to Great-Grandparents and everyone in between. A well kept garden with play-area completes the ideal location for a beautiful sunny Sunday! (Not bad during the rest of the week either!)
