They have Real Ale on here every now and again.

the leeds has recently advertised Abbot at 1.60 and speckled hen at 2.
haven't been in for a while, so gave it a try.
they were out of abbot, so had the hen, which was okay.
however I got the feeling they were just getting rid of the last of it.
the pub looks a bit bare now, and was empty apart from a small group of visiting bikers.
no food on now.
it looks desparately in need of some business.
this used to be a busy youngsters pub, so where they're going nowadays I don't know.
the trooper up the road is still doing okay, but is more geared toward the older residents. [e.g. no music, etc].
***
a 1 from me, for the beer alone.

I haven't been in of late, but I think greene king may have sold this one off, as the GK pub sign is gone.
[only speculation at this point, though].

this is a greene king pub, and consequently sells their range of beers, along with the regular keg lagers, etc.
competitively priced menu lunch & early evenings.
main bar with pool + separate dining extension & beer garden.
generally a pub for the younger drinkers in the evenings.
I like my cask ales, and in particular greene king beers. but I have to say through this year [2006] I have not been too impressed with the state of the cask beers here. this may just be down to cask beers not being so popular with their regulars, and subsequently held longer.

Cosey little pub. Apparently it's got a reputation for being a bit rough, but was nice and friendly when I visited.
