Very disappointing. Popped in with family today at 3pm on Easter Sunday. 4 adults and 10month old child. Stern looking blonde mature lady glared at us as we held the child and said "are you eating" I said no, just a couple of drinks. She said "children not allowed in anyway so if we had a drink we need to go outside". Her face was angry and we felt that we had caught her on a bad day so after she poured the drinks we advised her we were leaving! Just what she deserved. Am sure the pub management would not tolerate this standard of service. We have been here before and found it a cozy, friendly pub. Anyway we went up to the White Horse in Worsely were it was packed with a great atmosphere and had a great time. Staff were amazing and very customer focused. I think they will be around a lot longer than the Farmers! Come on! Get it together in the farmers! Treat customers how you would expect to be treated! Yours sincerely. A very disappointed customer!

I haven't been in here since I moved away from Swinton in 2007, but it was one of my favourite pubs in the area, and it doesn''t sound like that will have changed. Great beer (though the Boddies was never the same since the closed Strangeways!), friendly atmosphere and hearty pub grub during the day

Cosy pub with village country-type feel, more what youd expect near Southport than Swinton - decent Boddies cask

Really good pub, good atmosphere, never any trouble. Really nice and cosy in the winter when the log fire is burning and it has a nice little beer garden in the summer.

Good little boozer, ran well by the landlord Pete. Its a bit clicky in the vault with a lot of the regulars, especially when uniteds playing.

A really good boozer, I highly recommend the food in here, especially the Sunday lunch.
