Talbot and Falcon, Wakefieldback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Rough house pub with karaoke and/or the ex member of Creme Brulee doing the Dj-ing. Pretty typical of Wak-oh though.

Sad to see what was once a historical pub turned into a bog !

Not a bad pub, and very handy for the 110 bus to Leeds.

Very busy on a Saturday night. The pub appears to have been revamped into an Irish bar. Loud music. No real ales. Looks like this was once a nice place. Not any more.

An impressionistic review based on a five minute pint! The Talbot is a narrow, one roomed bar, with a variety of seating areas including two raised banquette sections. It's had a refurb since I was last there and it has a curiously sterile feel. There's an awful lot of white to contrast with the dark red and pale green. That coupled with very loud music didn't make it a particularly relaxing experience. The place was like the Marie Celeste.Only four punters, including myself, at eight p.m. Two real ales on offer: Tetley's and Speckled Hen, neither my favourite. However, the 'Hen' was clean tasting and a decent temperature. The barman/landlord was friendly and obliging. In short an adequate boozer, but nothing inspirational.

Nice Victorian pub in the town centre, recently refurbished, not too cluttered, old photographs of local life on the walls. Tetley's beers plus one guest ale which was an Adnams season brew on my visit. Beer quality very good

brilliant traditional pub, real ale, fantastic atmosphere, different to other pubs in the city.
