Left without drinking as the staff were disinclined to serve the huge queue of people waiting to be served in the bar.

under new ownership.. and what a transformation..new owners have done Fulmer proud
|
PS: I'm sure that Fulmer and this pub are in Bucks (and proud of it) as opposed to Berks, which is relevant when doing a pub search on this website. The misprint in my last sentence in the entry for today was a wee error.

Two of us were here for lunch on 10 February, arriving at about 1.00pm. It was an entirely pleasurable experience: the draft beer was perfect and at the correct temperature, the menu adequate (I can readily recommend the bangers and mash, and the apple crumble), with efficient and courteous service. The general ambiance was good, and although I am not a fan of caged birds, the one by the door is controlled in its utterances. Adequate parking too at this time of the wee., but does get busy some evenings and weekends.

It's about 5 years since I last came here, what a disappointment, the decor looks tired, the carpet dirty, tables chipped and the food very average. The staff were helpful and the place busy but it was not the pub it was.

Very pleasant smart but unpretentious pub catering to all ages. Expensive but goodish IPA, and obvious focus on food but with plenty of areas to drink. Lovely part of the country.

This is one of our locals. Its great for kids on summer afternoons. Evenings can be a bit stuffy, with plenty of expensive cars littering the parking lot. I suppose rich people have to chill too. Would certainly recommend it for meals, especially if you're entertaining your in-laws etc.

Some friends of mine are local to this place and when I'm in the area this is invariably where we end up. I wish it wasn't.

Went there at the weekend with my lovely Rhonda.Nice village pub but far too overpriced for both food and drinks.I think the wealthy local pensioners don't mind though as they all seemed to be enjoying themselves.Friendly bar staff, food took a long time to come meaning another wallet busting visit at the bar.Would visit again,i'm saving up right now!.

Visited this pub for my Xmas lunch at work..
It's oh so posh, in the commuter belt. I was (un)reliably informed that Angelina Jolie has been seen in here - Whether this is true I know not.
The village is nice, and it is a traditional posh village pub - full of workers from nearby like me and posh old ladies that lunch. Had a nice meal in here it has to be said, and the pint I had was also agreeable.
