Pretty much as per previous visit - only thing going for it is it is the nearest drinking hole to the station.

It's pretty bland Fullers corporate kind of place lacking any character.. As usual drank lager in the place.
Nicely sized Fullers pub. Had pint of Seafarers. Also had Honey Dew, ESB and Pride on. Shame there wasn't a wider selction though as no Chiswick or seasonal beer. Great small patio that had sky sports screen on.
soon it'll be 4.00 London prices
Fuller's Wild River for 3.75, nice enough beer but price is a bit steep. Can get very noisy when there's a match on, who says blokes don't talk, it was that loud you couldn't hear the commentary. Normally this pub is alright though.

Good Fullers house, well kept beer and a pleasant atmosphere.
Always good service and never a bad pint. Stocks the usual Fuller's range and there's normally one from Gales - which are also brewed by Fuller's. Not bad prices for the area and it's prominent position in the High Street - which is a bonus.

Prominently-located pub with a smart appearance both inside and out. The semi-modernised interior won't be to everybody's taste, and a surprising amount of space is given over to the Thai restaurant which means pretty limited seating in the bar area. Sky Sports on two TVs, showing different channels but with the sound off so not too distracting. Four Fullers/Gales ales distributed between the six handpumps, including a first-class pint of Discovery at 3.10.

Used to be your archetypal boozer but it's a kind of mxi n' match affair these days. A restauranty bit down to one end for the Thai menu and a laminate floor and barstool affair the at the business end. I tend to drink lage when I drop in here.

Excellent Thai resturant.
Can get very busy and not much in the way of sitting area.
OK, so it's not the most atmospheric pub, and it's certainly buzzy when the football is on and unlike much of the restrained Harpenden vibe. But, it had very friendly bar staff and we had outstanding pints of London Pride. I see the cellar keeper has won various awards. If you get stuck in Harpenden, it's close to the station, and has much better kept ale than any of the other pubs nearby.

Well presented Fullers house, as most of them are, but most of it is given over to a Thai restaurant. They also serve Thai food in the bar so you cant get away from it. Not really a drinkers pub but a decent pint of Pride at 2.90.

Only been in the place a couple of times over the years.
Usually got music or sports blaring. Last time I was in there, some short blonde came in to flash her boobs at the bar and walked out. A bit on the chavvy side, which is a shame as its got a great location and good decor. Probably just needs a decent landlord to sort it out

Popped in here by chance last night when the M25 and M1 were behaving themselves (dont say that too often) and I found myself with tons of time before meeting No 1 Son from his train at Luton. So in search of beer and food diverted to Harpenden as I remember it having several pubs the last time I came through (when the M1 was blocked) and tried here. Nice enough pub and a decent drop of pride. But as said below , at 7.00PM last night the bar area was quite busy whereas the restaurant area was empty. Didnt fancy Thai so went up the high Street to the Old Cock Inn.

Friendly pub with excellent thai restaurant.
Fullers pub so you know what you're getting on the beer front. Gets crowded at weekends, but bar staff are always friendly and know what they're doing.
Bar tends to get packed, while the adjoining Thai restaurant remains comparatively empty. Fair food there, by the way, nothing terrific (except staff clothing). The pub is best avoided, really, when it's packed; but when its quiet, this is a great place. Beer a bit overpriced, but there you go.
Love this pub, great atmosphere and friendly staff. I enjoyed a lovely meal in the Thai restaurant.
Popped in here on Friday evening - packed as usual. Friendly barman and a nice - if expensive - pint of Stella.
Quite jolly yesterday lunchtime. 4 Fullers ales to choose from (I had London Pride @ 2.60) and the service was efficient and welcoming. The large Thai restaurant bit was quite busy. Much better than I was expecting, to be honest.

Police called again last weekend

Nice photo, good work. I like this pub, my girlfriend hates it. That said my favourite time to go is a late weekday afternoon, enjoying an (overpriced) ESB and reading the paper; we tend to visit as a couple at the weekend when it unfortunately tends to get packed with boneheaded boors.
Looks fine from the outside. Took the photo for BITE. Didnt have chance to visit properly when in Harpenden the other week but looks to be a fairly modern Fullers establishment with a Thai food menu.
It can be a little "laddish" in a non-confrontational way and it is too small so it can be uncomfortable if crowded, but otherwise a decent enough pub.
Rather a lot of shaved heads and tatoos here. Poor ales. Occasionally violent.
The restaurant takes up too much space meaning the bar is often overcrowded. Stella's normally OK and the staff are friendly enough.
Agree with the comment below, Fullers beer in tip top condition and tasty Thai food but a few too many plastic cockneys at times, avoid them and you'll love it.
Great pub for ESB and Thai food. Should easily be the best pub in town, the regular clientele are civilised enough, however there remains a wearisome tendency for the pub to be overrun by large groups of anti-social blokes; the likes of whom would not be tolerated in comparable establishments.
