Had a pleasant surprise on a rare visit to the Whiffler. I must comment on the improvements made to the garden area, very pleasant place to enjoy a drink and a meal. Well done 'Spoons.

I have to give credit where credit is due, great meal we had yesterday. Very fresh, tasty, and excellent service. We was there a few months ago and the food then wasnt that good, but what an improvement, well done JD WS!! 7/10

A decent enough 'Spoons, but it's a bit too far from the city centre to make it a regular haunt for me. Well kept ales and the usual Wetherspoon cheap and cheerful menu. Not bad at all.

Not the most inspiring JDW i've visited, the place looks a lot bigger from the outside aswell. The pint of Batemans I had was beautiful though, quite a trek on foot though from the centre, think it took us bout 45mins!! 7/10

I thought this place was one of the better Wetherspoons I've been too. It's got a slightly unusual location on a main road at the edge of Norwich. The place was fairly busy and they did the usual wide range of ales - Wooden Hand Cornish Buccanneer, Phoenix Black Shadow, Greene King Abbot Ale, Maui Coconut Porter, Allgates Brigantia, Otter Mild and Ruddles Best. Cider was Westons Marcle Hill. There is a large car park at the front. The bar staff seemed to lack knowlegdge of the products they were 'selling'. But overall, this wasn't too bad a pub. I can't say I noticed that it was in need of a refurb. The interior looked fine to me.

badly needs refurbishment - must be the pub that Wetherspoon forgot it owns - back garden looks as though it should have 2 or 3 mattresses dumped in it to make the scene complete - staff are good though despite the place falling around them and of course the beers are good - just a depressing place though

this is a good pub, staff very friendly, food good and cheap and its always buzy. its a likeable wetherspoons pub which i will keep going to.
|
Way above the average Wetherspoons, good food, and good beer choice. Keen staff too.
|
Pleasant enough pub.Food orientated, but good selection of ales. The locals seem agreeable.Last time I visited the bar staff were very friendly.Well worth the half hour walk.

Large, standard Wetherspoon's but has the downside of being based in chav central. Good food, cheap drinks and on occasions the staff can be friendly. Lovely beer garden. 7/10
