Sat outside yesterday evening and enjoyed the sun and a couple of pre-prandial pints of Wadworth 6X which were in very good condition. Purity Pure UBU, Doom Bar and Courage Directors were also on sale so nothing under 4% ABV. Minor shouting matches inside and out suggested a few customers had overdone it on their days out but I suppose this pub's central location will always mean it attracts all types. As the last reviewer commented, a round of drinks wasn't cheap.

Good selection of ales of which the London Pride was spot on. Staff extremely friendly and efficient. Some of the clientele though seemed to give the impression that they were of better standing than the majority of customers. Fairly expensive ales but worth paying for!

Good pub, went there Friday and the bar staff were very efficent, good meals and a good atmosphere.

I went there on friday and was impressed, neat pub, friendly atmosphere and the two barstaff were really friendly and efficent. Good meals at decent prices.

Of all the pubs in Warwick - this is my very favourite. Good food, nice to be able to pop out for some tea without being ripped off. Kids welcome early doors, staff always friendly and helpful.

Not quite the pub it was from reading my previous review. The Slaughterhouse beer is ok, rebadged for the pub, but it is just getting a little worn now. Still worth a visit, but needs a tidy.

Visited this pub for the first time last week. Not many in so thats possibly why the service was efficiently quick. Slaughterhouse beer was excellent...wish they sold it in my Surrey local.
|
Ok. Impressed with the special slaughterhouse beer.
|
I friend bought me in here he goes on about this place. The Pub is ok. Not special but the Slaughthouse beer is very good.
|
Not a bad place. Slaughter house special beer is excellant. 8/10

Has made many improvements under new management. Although, noticed prices have increased a little too much, and do not feel quite as at ease seated in the eating area on the left as we used too. Have put a lot of effort into the decor, which has improved greatly. Feel more comfortable sitting outside away from being 'looked up & down' by other customers on some evenings!

One of Warwicks better pubs, large and plenty of room, except when there is Football on the TV. The bar area seems to get full though. There is always a local beer on and it always seems to be in great nick. Enjoyable.

great pub, interesting seating on the right of the bar

Had a nice meal and a respectable local bitter. Pubs proprietors are anxious to please. Try the cheese tray for a great snack with beer.

Something to say about this pub... Don't go to it!! Pub is passable, if you ever stay at the B&B it's a dive and they rip you off ...
