snarling whoever - maybe you should check out other pubs rather than just leaseholds who have no choice on prices they charge however we also do fosters/strongbow/guinness all 2.75 pint, plus happy hour 5-7 mon - fri carlsberg 2.50 pint !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we also do real ales from 2.85 pint !! and we are open all day everyday and have a very good local trade aswell as a football family and a large football following plus pool darts and a football team !

It's white as opposed to 'salmon' in colour these days. It's your archetypal 'sports' bar (as in pool table and multi-screen Sky sports). No ale and a whacking 3.75 for a Stella (only 2.50 for a pint in town),

Came here several new years eves ago..... place was heaving. Couldn't move, don't remember much else.
|
Big pub, lots of screens for sports and a few tables outside if the weather's nice. Seems to be the away fans' choice for Crawley Town matches as it's the closest place to drink to the ground except the club bar. Offers basic bar food including pizzas and hot dogs. Not cheap though - a pint of Stella was 3.75 and the only thing even close for ale drinkers is Smiths. So a pre-match watering hole rather than anything else.

awful,,, n o health or hygeine cert in kitchen and its bar staff that cook the food with no training,,, drink wattered down,,, miserable woman who clamps cars in car park unlawfully and charges 90 to take it off,,, rude staff,,, bar flies,,, smelyl grimey old pub dont even bother

Really nice beer garden, great selection of beer and cider, really helpful barman and good food. Couldn't ask for much more on a sunny Saturday afternoon after walking on the South Downs...

Friendly enough pub but more of a sports pub than anything else. The beer and food were cheap enough tho.
|
Took the good lady & some friends in here on a Friday night, she got a bit worried looking at some of the customers but they turned out to be a friendly lot, service at the bar was quick. Well worth a try

sporty pub with lots going on - karoakes, theme nights, pool competions, darts team, 5 pool teams, football team, plenty of drink related promotions come and see for yourself

We used to drink in here every night until the old manager of 20 odd years was kicked out. In comes a load of kids trying to run a pub. Then the current landlady took over and it got even worse! No real ale anymore, the slowest service in town, and all with a real healthy lump of aturtude. I live 300 yards from here, and would rather walk a mile to get a good beer.
|
Karaoke here every other Saturday 8-11pm
Next there on the 17th May .... so come along and give us a song !!
|
Went to an away game here at the end of March, comfortable and friendly, nice place to catch the live footie before moving on to the Broadfield Stadium. Shall be attending again tomorrow for Sunderland v Tottenham ahead of our first league game away to Crawley.

Football Hooligans pre punch up watering Hole.
|
Away fans welcome these days.
Brilliant pre-match boozer, although I wouldn't be seen there for much else.
Slow and unplentiful bar staff. Top pool tables though, quiz machines, big screens; even jukeboxes and TV's on each table.
Would still prefer the Downsman, given the choice, if for nothing else other than the fact they employ bar staff.

Locals only. Or get shown the door...

cliquest pub in crawley ,if your face dont fit dont bother going, full of idiots mostly
|
Until Easter 2003 this was considered my local. However, the manager was forced out and a series of muppets were drafted in run it down. Now it stands a good chance of being dead, except when Crawley are playing at home (200 yards away), in which case, don't be in away colours. The good thing is that the pool tables are often clear, and no long queues. Still a hardcore local set go in there. As I haven't moved, it's still my local. But not my regular...

Typical Mr Q's type pub. Still, any port in a storm, eh.

Don't know about superb prices, just like anywhere else. Clique set.

Superb prices. Like drinking in the early 1980's.
