A sizeable place right in the centre of Budleigh Salterton. A cosy interior a nd a beer garden hidden around the back for the summer months. Would visit again.
8/10

Nice pub in the centre of the town. Food was good and reasonably priced. Seemed quite traditional and good service.
|
Good pub with a very decent selection of beers on tap, which is something I don't get to see in my home area very much. BvB Branoc was in top form on my last visit. Locals and staff very friendly, shame about the utterly miserable weather outside...so stayed a bit longer!

A decent sizeable pub with something for everyone. A little expensive but this is east Devon. Filled half an hour whilst waiting for our bus.

A lovely black and white exterior hotel building, at the end of a row of buildings, with central entrance and oriel window.
The interior has a bar, lounge and pool area. The decor was the white wall, with wood panel and beams. There was a stone fire place and lots of traditional trappings, like brass ornaments and tankards. Scary for an archivist, they had old bills and receipts from 1860s etc framed on the wall - scan them guys! Service was good and the clientele, more of the mature kind. They served food, but we didnt eat. There was also a skittle alley.
Beer; usual tap tosh, with Spekky Hen, Bombardier, Branscombe Branoc and Red Rock Brewery's Red Rock, which was fine.
Yes, a nice place and decent beer, even if Spekky and Bombardier are common. I would return.

good traditional pub, two bars one with a pool table, plenty of friendly locals which is always a good sign, well kept ales of which there was four to choose from. Good value food
We stayed B&B in a clean tidy comfortable room which was good value at 55, excellent breakfast that set us up for a days walking the coast path

Lovely place. 2 separate bars which is a rarity these days. Nice pint of bitter. A traditional ale house in a beautiful English town.
|
friendly pub, good choice of real ale, excellent ever changing menu in lounge bar! and lively old fashioned public bar.
|
Town pub, always busy with diners. So sometimes a little difficult to get a seat in the lounge. However does have a very lively public bar. Perhaps we are lucky in having a few left in Devon. Good beer selection generally well kept.
|
Offers a good choice of Real Ales, I tried the Branscombe Vale Branoc which was in good nick. Closed promptly at 1100pm on a Saturday night even though the bar had a good number of customers.
