Seven Tuns, Chedworthback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Quirky, lavish interior, nice beer garden with huge willow shading it. Hook Norton are the regular beers, but I had a nice Tap Brewery (Glos.) IPA. Sunday roast was excellent, and place was well-staffed. I gather they had a kitchen fire in June, so food was being made (very capably) in a van outside. Beautiful village, came here before visiting the Roman Villa.

Now reopened under new management. Had a very pleasant lunch there on a recent walk.

Closed at present. A local resident told us that a new licensee is currently being sought.

Rude Landlady who made us feel very unwelcome despite the place being virtually empty on a sunday lunchtime. Only 2 tables in the bar area so no-where to sit and we were reprimanded for getting in the way of the staff by standing at the bar! This used to be a lovely pub but after our last visit we will not be returning.

Very friendly staff and as good a pint of Butcombe bitter as you will find anywhere. The beer really was excellent. However when paying over 7 for a glass of wine and a pint it is a shame that the gents did not have soap or a towel.

It's a pity this pub is tied to Youngs, and an even greater pity that it no longer offers a guest bitter -- there were just Young's ordinary, Young's Kew and Bombardier available when we visited on 29 August. That said, the food is very good indeed, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the ambience is spot-on. Worth taking the trouble to find it. By the way, there are some great walks on a network of public footpaths and bridle paths around Chedworth so you can work up a thirst before you visit.

Not easy to find, its tucked away near the church at the NW end of this long village. A basic locals bar with Sky TV, a lounge bar and a separate dining room. There is also lots of seating outside, including over the road by a gushing spring - though as the pub is on a NE facing slope, the sun sets early for much of the year. A log-fire is welcoming in winter. A Youngs pub serving their bitter plus Bombardier and a guest, usually from the Youngs list. The food is upmarket and expensive.
