horrid posey chav cocktail bar, expensive

Quiet at lunchtime, comfortable seats, interesting view, cheap food deals which are actually nice.
My tip is have a bite to eat, with tap water and then go for a beer afterwards in the nearby Harp.
Clearly not a pub, and not a place that I would go to in the evening.

Pros: Comfy seats (if you're lucky enough to get one) and fairly efficient bar service.
Cons: Expensive, full of upmarket chavs and very loud.
But as with most things, it's who you do it with that matters, and if you're with a group of mates and you've already had a few, and other places are kicking out, then this place is absolutely fine.

A visit to any bar / pub with the word "International" in its name is unlikely to be memorable - and this one was no different. Try the nearby Salisbury instead

Miserable place. Hs a couple of small tables outside in summer so you can sit outside at a busy junction and advertise the fact you enjoy paying absolutely top whack prices for nothing much at all.

Used to go here with frightening regularity way back when it was a Corney and Barrow, so it made a change to nip in last night for the first time in several years. Despite the name change, it hadn't changed a bit. The music was housey and loud enough to necessitate shouting, and the beers (bottled Sol, Tiger et al) pricey at 3.50. Clientele dressed up, staff friendly enough, and there appeared to be a restaurant upstairs. Gets mobbed after 11, open til 2-ish. I think there may even be an entrance fee round about 10 or 11. To be honest, I've long preferred old gits' pubs for a few years now, but having gone back here, I'm setting this aside as a loud bar option should I feel the need again. I had to yell at my mate next to me and ignore the others all night but hey, it's a loud bar. And a nice one too. Get ready to yell.

I accidentially found The International bar one evening after catching a movie in Leichester Square. It was late but the bar was still heaving at 11pm on Thursday night. Located just minutes walk from Trafalgar Square you may think its a ponsy place full of pretencious gits. Well be suprised, the service was welcoming, the food was delicious and so affordable for West End standards and the cocktails are amazing. They don't have beer on tap but there is a good selection of bottled beers for 3.50 each.
Will go back again!
