Woodbourne Hotel, Douglasback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
My 5th pub of the day and at this stage, it was the best one of the 5. There are a couple of main rooms, plus an imposing pool room, all served by a central corridor. Many pumpclips on the walls in the one room attest to the range that can be stocked. But apparently the guests had sold out over Christmas. So only 4 Okells beers were available - MPA, Bitter, St Nicks & IPA. Ciders were Aspalls & Green Goblin. Had a bit more character than most Douglas pubs and clearly has a strong local following.

Large hotel a little way out of the town. Okells beers plus several guests on offer from 2.60. Several separate rooms and a pool room. Smart and tidy with efficient and friendly service. Worth walking (or catching the bus up the hill!) to.

I enjoy the range of real ales. I like it that there are several rooms. The locals are friendly. Who am I? Well my daughter lives just fifty yards away, so whenever I visit her on the island, I'm from Suffolk, it's down the road to the Woody.

Lovely community pub with a couple of rooms and friendly staff. A good flagship for Okells as there were 8 pumps with a variety of their beers. Had Eastern Spice, Alt, and Spring Ram. Bus stops nearby if too far to walk from town.

Good real ale pub set in the back roads of Douglas - on a dark night in the rain the outside of the pub would do well on a Hammer horror set. Friendly pub though and the Okells was well kept - enough beer 'varieties' to keep oneself entertained..

Traditional pub, inland a little bit and not touristy at all, quite a community pub with caricatures of what I assume to be locals on the walls. A relaxed feel to the pub and some good real ale, worth a diversion if you're in town
