Old school, back street boozer - and none the worse for it. Just one cask ale on my visit: Okell's Bitter, which was on top form. Friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Interior décor is 1970s/1980s pub timbers. One beam even announces 'Flowers Original Bitter'! 7/10.

Went in this place on our last day and I found the locals and landlady very friendly. Beer was on form but only two beers on. Asked if i could buy a glass and was treated to 4 all wrapped up in newspaper free of charge. This is a proper pub and a must visit if in Douglas.

We spent a week in Douglas when over for the TT and found The Saddle Inn to be a great little harbour-side pub with old world charm. Theres not many of these left today. We were treated really kindly by all the locals and there was a great atmosphere with the added bonus of a tiny pool room. Sadly I didnt get on with any of the local ales, but the ones I did try were in good condition. Just how a pub should be.

Snug, the Okell's bitter was fine but they've stopped selling Okell's mild.

A small traditional pub in an alley near the quay. Okells bitter on offer at 2.55 was very good. Pool room and darts board.

Friendly old pub - wooden floor, round old style wrought iron tables with wooden tops, all very clean and shiny. A nice pint of Okells Bitter, racing on the telly and a pleasant landlady. Could have stayed all afternoon but had to get the boat home.

A more traditional pub in the midst of lots more modern and youngsters' pubs alongside the harbour. Music was played at a reasonable level and the old guys and girls standing near the bar decided to turn the area into a makeshift dancefloor, obviously well fuelled on the Okell's Bitter or Mild!

Tried this hidden away pub out this last week. Nestled in the hidden Queen St just behind the North Quay, this wooden floorboarded, seasoned drinkers inn is firmly in Okells hands and is good for an olde worlde bevvy

Probably not the place for a lady on her own but the gents were docker class fair rather than rough

Nice hideaway and good Okells Bitter
