Railway Inn, Union Millsback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
I'm not sure what the reference to a railway is here, as there didn't seem to be one around. This is a traditional pub that was in the process of a refurbishment. I'm not sure if the gents is normally outside. Locals and staff didn't appear that welcoming though. Ales were Coach House Dick Turpin, Robinsons Trooper, Brains Open Casket & Okells Bitter, an above average selection for the island. Might be worth another try.

My local pub! :) They have recently starting doing food which is really nice, and very good prices! Friendly locals, and the bar staff are all lovely! Great atmosphere during TT. This year and last year there was an outside bar and a BBQ going. Definitely worth trying if you have never been before! :)

A decent pub only a few minutes on the bus from Douglas with well kept ales. No evidence of them serving food on my visit, which was the only pity. Well worth a visit though!

Popped in here on the evening of opening practise for the 2010 TT. Great location, adjoining the circuit at Union Mills, with a wooded outdoor area to the right of the pub where you can watch the bikes with a pint in hand. Good beer, great atmosphere - my kind of pub ! I wasn't even that disappointed that practise was delayed starting, I could have happily sat inside talking bikes with the friendly locals way after closing time.

Busy friendly pub. Enjoyed Okells Mild and Okells AGM while watching friends have a game of darts. On a bus route out of Douglas.

My local, the best real ale pub in the ISLE OF MAN regularly changing guest beers, as well as being one of the few pubs on the island that sell Mild, great locals and good cheerful staff, .

This is my local, , good beer good atmosphere, on the TT course itself. Luckily just a short walk for me, bar has two "corners" Bullshit on the left, connoisseurs on the right. Left hand corner has the photos of the fish caught by the locals

Undoubtedly one of the best pubs on the Isle of Man. To enlarge on what Keith said, guest beers are now a constant feature, rotating at weekly/fortnightly intervals, in addition to local brews. No juke box or squawking gaming machines, it is a good place for conversation. Two televisions cater for sports/music fans, but there is a sizeable area without these. On the TT course, an excellent view of the racing may be had either in front of the pub, or from the elevated beer garden. Friendly and helpful management, staff & locals - it's been my choice of pub for about three years.
