I stayed in Elham recently and of all the pubs there, this was definitely my favourite. Can't say if it is still a local's pub or not (having only been there twice) but they served up great fish and chips and all the fine range of beers that Shepherd Neame has to offer. The landlord was a lovely bloke as well. If I ever go back to Elham I'll definitely stop for a pint or two here.

Now under NEW MANAGEMENT!!! Forget the last posting this place has really changed,! Brand new Resturant which offers 'simply different dining' This place has had a really bad reputation in the past which is hard to change but i think the new management have done so very very well, its well worth a visit to see for yourself.

Very much a locals' pub. Somewhat disconcerting when walking in to an empty pub to find you can't get to the bar because all the barman's mates are lined up along it chatting to him. Not recommended at all.
