Popped in here for a swift one before getting back on the train. Stumbled on it as close to the station.
Deeply weird. Locals generally not engaging and we were pretty uncomfortable. But we got hold of the darts from behind the bar and halfway through a game of round the clock all was well. Bit odd though when one player went to the loo and the landlord came out and took the darts back while we weren't looking. Just as we were about to ask for them back a fella sat in a chair in front of the board, despite every other table being empty, so we got the message. We were as welcome as a fart in a lift.
We were willing to pay for stuff and everything. We left.

I heard this is a massively well disguised gay bar?

I agree 100% with mothola - as nasty as they come.
My one and only visit to this genuinely awful small town boozer was greeted with a pause in conversations and unfriendly stares.
Laughable.

Just another bad boozer essentially. No ale on tap and about as friendly as an angry viper in a bear pit. For down to earth read inverted snobbery. This is a truly dire pub.

This pub has a really friendly atmosphere. Everyone is down to earth and you can really relax. There is always something going on. Karaoke, Disco, darts, pool, crib - you name it. Well worth a visit!! ;-)
