Appears to have changed ownership. Salopian Brewery beer now features. Half of the handpulls were empty, not sure if this is standard now,, not many customers to be seen. Beer quality was fine

Was at the Alex last Saturday. Some decent dark ales on tap.

Called into the 'Alexandra' for the very 1st time on Jan 15th 2011 ... and it won't be the last either !
What a cracking little pub !
Excellent choice of Beers ... an equally excellent 'Landlord' (manager) ... and a great community atmosphere there.
My only wish is that 'Black Country Ales' will give the Landlord a free rein to do what he's got planned - (some great ideas !) - then this place will really take off.
We'll be back ... and soon !

New landlord in place. Beer quality excellent on my recent visit. Mallinson's Stadium Bitter and another one at 6.4% both well kept.

Pub has now settled under Black Country bewery ownership. Usually 3-4 Black Country ales and two decent guest beers

Called in early on a Thursday evening recently. Very quiet as it was about 5.30. They had 4 cask beers on. Two from Worfield and 2 from Black Country. I had a Worfield Coalport Dodger mild and very nice it was too. Needs a bit of a spruce up but overall it was pretty decent.

The couple who ran this pub have now moved to a pub in County Durham, beer range has now reduced to 1 occasionally 2 beers. Not sure what the future holds for this venue

Called in for the first time following my visit to the festival at the Crown. Lovely friendly pub serving good real ales from micros.

Refurb looks almost complete and the pub looks very nice (traditional - not trendy)

Curently being refurbished - probably worth a check in a couple of weeks. They are going to be selling traditional ales and they're doing up the garden a bit too...
