Eating pub... Which was handy as we were here for Sunday Lunch.

Good food at £10 for the adult portion. Tip - we booked on line and got a 25% off voucher.

Good service and great location

Perfect location overlooking the River Dee with a reasonable sized seating area. Traditional JW Lees bitter was on offer alongside their relatively new Manchester Pale Ale and Streaker Ale.

Called into the Boathouse for a pint as part of a cultural tour of Chester. Good beer and brilliant location. Staff were friendly and efficient,. Did not try the food but portions looked good and menu seemed inexpensive. Well worth a visit.

EXCELLENT food, EXCELLENT service. EXCELLENT staff and an EXCELLENT evening. I visited the Boathouse on Friday 2nd December and can confidently say it's one of the best meals out I've ever had!! The quality of the food and the portion size was fantastic and was amazing value for money. The staff had a "nothings too much trouble" attitude, which is refreshing compared to other many other pubs/restaurants. I would highly recommend a visit to the Boathouse.

Absolutely Amazing!! Myself and 3 other colleagues had our christmas meal here before a night out!! Friendly staff, good food, Good value!! Would definatyely return!!

I find it amazing that someone has marked a pub down because they got offered something in a toilet - Im 110% certain that if the staff were aware of this then this person would have been removed!!!

This used to be a super pub- now,on my recent visits we were served short measured, flat lager in a plastic glass. Next, some old woman barked that we couldnt eat or have anything else to drink as we had children with us (outside)and it was nearly 7pm (shock horror !!).Pub was fairly empty by this time so it is surprising they can afford to turn down business . To cap it all, was asked if i wanted 'some gear' when i went to the gents. Needless to say, unless you want plastic glasses,'gear' and have no children then this place should now be avoided.

Was here a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed the visit. Stayed for a while and the people I was with enjoyed the food (albeit bar meals) which was very reasonably priced and I enjoyed the lager which again was well kept. Not been there before but would certainly go again. Once again, nice to be greeted by very friendly staff.
Nothing wrong with the location either.

Lovely setting with nice views and outside terrace but yep too commercial is accurate I guess.
Two hand pulls, Bombardier & Old Peculier, stopped doing food at 7pm saturday (strange).
Guess it sets it stall out for day trippers!

Nice in the summer, overlooks the river Dee and has a nice quiet terrace.

In the winter gets a bit quiet.

Average in every sense of the word. Commercial beers etc. Saved by being next to the river with beer garden. Plenty of 18-25's friday and saturday
