Was back in here yesterday after a 3 year gap. Waited 10 minutes to get served, before giving up and slogging up the hill to the station. There was easily enough time to note down the ale selection - Moorhouse's Pendle Witches Brew, Brains SA, Reedley Hallows Pendleside & Milestone Lock Prop & Barrel. They also had Black Dragon cider, which would have been my choice. However, with only 2 staff serving and with them serving people out of sequence, we weren't the only customers to give up waiting. Downgrading my score to 1/10, as they are understaffed and unable to deal with demand.

Decent Lloyds No. 1. Efficient service and well-kept ale from Reedly Hallows. 7/10.

The Brun Lea was the first of 2 Wetherspoons we visited in our whistlestop tour of the town. This place felt fairly small. There was an upstairs. But I'm not sure if there was any seating. It took a while to get served. Ales were Ruddles Best, Maxim Northern Knight, Shepherd Neame Hot Night At The Village, Camerons Press Gang, Caledonian Recreation Ale, Cotleigh Hip Hop Hooray & Wadworth Bentspoke Braddon Bitter. The cider was Barbourne Sweet Kernel, which I had not sampled previously. I recommend both branches of 'spoons in this town.

Football day in Burnley and I had another 4 pubs to tick after my 4 in Accrington the night before. 1st port of call was the Brun Lea a short walk from Manchester Road station.
Its just before 10.30am and the pub is filling up nicely. Large open plan layout with most of the tables for eating put to the sides and front.
I’m Unsure how old this pub is but it has a new feeling to it but maybe its just kept very clean.
10 pumps on the bar in 2 sets of 5. The ale choice is decent with a few seasonal selections. As it’s only a month to Christmas I opt for J W Lees Christmas Plum Pudding @ 4.8%, perfectly poured, rich and fulsome and a bargain at £1.99 a pint.
I stopped for an hour and by the time I left the pub was pretty packed...remarkable for 11.30am but it was a Saturday and Burnley FC are at home.
A very decent 'spoons but it might be a different place when the sun goes down!!

Decent modernish Spoons; Moorhouses good, very quiet Sunday night.

Yes, it's a Wetherspoon's and yes it lacks atmosphere and soul, but (in the daytime at least) it is a relaxing spot for a drink. The service is friendly and speedy and the beer is good. There is normally at least one beer from the local Moorhouse's brewery available.

took my ex gf i here with her little un..beer was good and food was reasonable..not that busy on a wednesday pm..ran out of milk for a ladys latte but staff went out of there way to go out and buy some for her.

Try to avoid on saturday nights around 8ish onwards as queueing is ridiculous - i was once stood there for nearly 1/2 hr. Only ever seems to be 2 staff on at busy times. However,drinks r very cheap!

Can get busy at weekend nights, however is worth avoiding
during the day. As, due to Wetherspoons cheap prices, will be full of every alcoholic and tramp in town.
