This is no longer the Sixth Form Common Room for the local comprehensive school, thank goodness.
Instead it has become the territory of White Van Man whose clans congregate around the bar and refuse to let anyone not in their clique room to buy a drink.
Shame! Could be a nice pub if the management eased out the rabble and encouraged more mature customers in to the place.

Went into this pub on Friday night I've not been in for a while now I know why noticed a lot of drugs being passed about in the men's toilets, patrons all seem to morons landlady one of the rudest people I ever met in my opinion unless your looking to score drugs don't bother

Was here just before a Reading v Cardiff game shown on Sky Sports. It was busy, so they must be doing something right I suppose. The bar staff were young and inexperienced. The pub has apparently had a makeover unlike the clientele. When they are smoking, they crowd the entrance, when they are drinking, they crowd the bar. Do not try and get past, you will be invisible to them. Served a cold, flat pint of London Pride. This is Fosters territory after all, the power of advertising to White Van Man runs deep here with the occasional rebel drinking Magners Oirish cider only because he watches a different channel.

The garlic bread crowd are in here roaming wide eyed and lary. You've been warned.

Now part of John Barras....... Jury still out!

Well it is certainly quite a lively place early on a Friday evening, and given the amount of staff behind the bar this is obviously the norm. The age of the pub itself is not matched by the surrounding 1960s style housing which gives it more character than most "estate" pubs. Stayed for a pint of London Pride which was fine but left to try and find somewhere a bit more peaceful.

This pub has recently changed hands and the people there now are really sorting the place out. The management have real control over the customers now. It was the first time i had been in this pub for months, and i saw a real difference to the place. Would highly recommend.

Didn't know this place existed until december 2005 when I moved to the area! Cracking place 99.9% of the time, Seen a couple of issues late on fri nights, usually sorted very well (this happens in most pubs in britain, I know, drank in lots of them!) Felt like a stranger in there at first, didn't last very long, lots of people made me feel very welcome, now in there as often as time allows. Food is v.cheap and spot on, perfect place to watch the footy.

Not a pleasant pub abd DEFINITELY not pleasant clientele.
These yobs regularly damage fences, walls, gardens and cars at neighbouring properties.
Time the management showed a bit of control over how much they serve to customers.
With any luck the police will shut the place down eventually.

The cheap prices have managed to attract the chavs and as a result made woodley THE place not to enjoy a pint.

Used to drink here back in my youth. True about bumping into old friends here, but I gather it's a bit chavie now (if it wasn't before haha).
