This pub is a great place for locals and tourists alike but from the outside looks like an unprepossessing end of terrace pub. Off the beaten track but yet easily accessable by local bus services, the pub offers a good range of mainly local ales as well as a daily carvery at bargain prices which appears to be popular with locals. Food is also well priced and tasty with good portions. Pleasant riverside beer garden to rear including small animals for children to pet. Well worth a visit.

This is a good pub away from the town centre. It does have a good beer garden out the back which you don't expect when you look at it from the front. I would give it 9/10

Visited for the first time in ages with Shandy Chica. Retains the feeling of a honest locals pub. Not a bad pint too.

Nice Big Beer Garden Out The Back.
3 Ales On Tap.
My Rating 7/10

A proper local pub with large beer garden, good darts facilities and two pool tables. Real ales to be highly recommended (Adnams Broadside and Old Speckled Hen with a regular guest inc Flowers).. also large range lagers and bottles.
