Came here a few years back. I see nobody has done a review yet. Still has an interesting range of ales. But unlike my last visit, there were no dark beers on this time. The selection was Celt Experience Native Storm & Le Match 615, Mantle Moho, Morland Old Speckled Hen, Marstons EPA & Brains Bitter. Not as good a visit as last time. It's still really difficult to find a decent real ale pub in Swansea.

We retreated here after finding the nearby Singelton Hotel far from welcoming. It's a large and busy pub in the city centre and has the appearance of a chain pub. The beer selection was reasonable - Marstons EPA, Otley Oxymoron, Rhymney Export & Brains Bitter. The Oxymoron was in good condition. Found the clientele to be similar to that of a Wetherspoons - a few old layabouts and shoppers, with most likely a younger crowd appearing in the evenings.

Dodgy clientel and first pint tasted of vinegar. Won't be going back.

Called in here recently about 7pm, before going to the Grand Theatre, which is just around the corner.........and went straight back out of the place. It was full of pissed people, who seemed to have been there all day, and the atmosphere was VERY nasty indeed, not a nice place at all nowdays, it seems. I won't be going back there again, thats a certainty !!!!........

Without doubt, one of the worst pubs I have ever been in. Smelt of urine a fight nearly broke out and the food was terrible. Garlic mushrooms cold, ketchup on your chips wether you wanted it or not and burnt garlic bread. I will not be going back there again in a hurry.

Large bright corner location JDW type pub. 3 casks on during our visit. Promotes cheap food, such as a full breakfast for 1.99. Very popular, especially for the food. Handy for the town centre, and quite clean and tidy. Lacks atmosphere, but is quite acceptable. Average score.

This is an odd one actually, called in here at about 11am to meet a friend, and it was very busy indeed, mainly with people just finishing off their breakfasts !!!!.......

Had a couple of well kept pints in here, but the smell of vinegar off customers' dinners was overwhelming!

Bang in the city centre, nice little pub to pop into for a few pints. Well kept beer.

Conveniently located in the city centre this is an excellent pub for 'bloke shopping' ie pint-shop-pint-shop-pint, pint-shop etc
|
not a bad pub if you tire of shopping the locals are a mixed bunch though quite a few seem to be down on there luck
