With the exception of the occasional queue this has been the worst 'spoons I've been in for a long time.
Dingy, grubby tables, poor food.

Strange entrances to this place (was it an old billiard hall or something like that?) The beer was OK and it had all the usual spoons offerings. Not much more to be said really.

Dull looking spoons from outside, but inside we have no less than 10 handpumps.....sadly when visiting on a tuesday lunchtime it did resemble a retirement home though...I ordered food that came out in next to no time, and my pint of guest ale was spot on(1.80pint) 7/10

Youll be marked out as a Sassenach fairly early in most Scottish pubs but you can delay the ignominy here, at least until you open your mouth, by abiding by the local custom of queuing from the right hand side of the bar to get served. I observed this over a couple of pints and, whilst some people just jumped in, the convention was generally observed. It confuses the hell out of the irritating JDW zonal serving system. Small place by Spoons standards but plenty of tables and a decent bar.

One of the better Wetherspoons I have been in. Used by mainly locals who, as already mentioned, queue to the right of the bar. The bar staff hate it but it stop all argument and those unfamiliar soon understand what is going on.

Service from my experience is good. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly. This was an old cinema and then bingo but unusually for this type of Wetherspoons the toilets are on the same floor and near the bar.

At the present time there are three Wetherspoons in Edinburgh and this is by far the cheapest. A pint of Deuchars currently sells for 1.45. A 1 cheaper than the others.

Decent friendly bar with a good atmosphere.

A locals Wetherspoons, but friendly. Excellent range of real ales. Food is good to. Service can vary from fantastic to dire, curious queing system in place which the diehards love, staff hate and causes confusion to most. Visit and enjoy.
