I rarely pop in here but sometimes will meet a mate for a drink.
They have Guinness in cans in the fridge and an ultra-sonic device that creates the liveliness in it. Since it's not costing the landlord anything in wastage with line cleaning and drip trays (it's a perfect pint every time without any mess) the Guinness is the cheapest in town bar none. The G&P has the cheapest actual draught Guinness as far as I'm aware. I haven't tried the other beers here.
It does seem to cater toward the younger drinkers.
It has a large TV usually showing sport or soaps and a pool table in the corner, darts and a skittle alley.
It also doesn't appear to be open very often or maybe I just catch it at the wrong times. I pop in once in a while but that's it.

Agreed - been in there twice recently. Tetley was on the first time but nothing the second. Does-nt do the trade for good ale because shut most of the time.

I actually found this pub open recently, so I went in. 'Sorry, no real ale', said the bloke behind the bar, so I went out again. Can I award a minus score please?

Yes, always seems closed.

I must add to my previous review: I have driven past here recently, and on two occasions I have witnessed the place open, with lights on and the door agape. Perhaps I will venture a visit.

Seldom open.
