renovated recently, smart pub although it's lost the traditional feel. Haven't tried the food but the ales are decent with a few on, nice position next to the canal for a few beers when the weather is decent.

Much improved. Good ale and friendly locals. Saturday night has a bizarre quiz and free buffet going on. Worth a visit.

Great Northern is under new management. They've a long way to go to get it back to better days but they seem to be doing okay. Stop by for a pint and this time of the year you can enjoy a fine garden next to the canal.

Usual ex-Kimberley range of beers, good Sunday carvery, now extended to midweek. Friendly crowd including boaters in summer from adjacent canal basin, worth having a look around.

Friendly local pub. Nice atmosphere. A good pub to meet friends on a Sunday afternoon.
