See "White Star". It has been the same place for the last four years

A good place for a match day pint for the more discerning drinker before catching one of the nearby shuttle buses. There are notices up saying away supporters are not welcome and there is a bouncer at the door so you are advised not to wear any colours if you wish to visit. Seven beers were on, Steerage, Anchor and Iceberg were all in good condition. There is a food bar upstairs or alternatively, sandwich rolls are available downstairs.

This is a real find. Titanic have redeveloped the place well and offer 5 Titanic ales as well as 5 guests which tend to include one or two seasonal Titanic ales and an Everards. Staff are knowledgable and friendly and the ale quality excellent in the case of Iceberg and White Star which I had.

Popped in on a Friday night, beer was excellent as before but the live band were so noisy that most punters pushed off outside to drink.During their break the numbers inside increased but as soon as the second set began, there was a noticeable stream of customers heading off in the direction of the Wheatsheaf. The management should seriously consider whether such noisy music is really necessary when such fine ale is available.

REOPENED .
Now the White Star ,owned by Titanic Brewery and carrying their full range along with some quality guests like Abbeydale Absolution.Fantasic beer quality ,the White Star ale was truely outstanding and the interior of the pub is smart, comfortable and has character.Very helpful bar staff happy to give tasters and advice on the beer available and the bar food was keenly priced and good. This is an absolute gem, outstanding for ale and is destined for awards and fame once the word gets out .There is nowhere better in Stoke and this is one of the best in the Potteries.

Was alright when the old landlord Steve was in charge. The latest seemed alright and tried to make an effort but seemed confused whether he wanted another student bar or a local bar for local people. In the end he tried to combine the two and it takes a special pub to pull that one off. This isn't it. It gets busy on a Friday night, especially if Stoke are at home the next day. Trouble is common, but it's usually sorted by the aggressive bouncers that patrol the doors. Good for a laugh, but don't expect this to be your new local boozer

Popular with 18 year olds.
The beer is very poorly kept and unless you are out for a fight this pub is probably best avoided, which is a shame because a couple of years ago this was a great pub.

Give it a miss. It has lost all real ale. Tried the Guinness - it was very sour and after changing it twice the barman said "Well I can't keep pulling an extra pint off until it's drinkable". Had my money back so I've saved you the effort of trying it

Kingsway - this is Charlie Browns to most people in Stoke and 'Kingsway' is just a short street in the Town Centre - NOT a town
