This pub is now closed and it appears it will not be opening at anytime in the near future (although I hope I am wrong)!

Like travelling back in time to 1977. Not necessarily a bad thing but...the outer bar smells of cheese, the beer is uninsipired and, as noted below, the Landlord is a complete tool.

I have visited this pub and have left disappointed. The Landlord could do with a spell at a charm school, he's got to be one of the rudest people I have ever come across. The beer is overpriced and not great quality. Worst of all the place could do with a steam clean, it is dirty. Will I return? Never!

I agree with the anonymous review posted last Guy Fawkes night- Colin is most definitely NOT a nice man, he doesn't like anyone who threatens him (especially if they are brainy or good looking). If you are new to the area, IGNORE this pub- keep straight on for about half a mile until you reach Horseshoe Bend, where a warm welcome awaits you at The Brewers Arms instead!!

I visited this pub along with friends on a Saturday afternoon and was made very welcome by Colin and his friends. It was quiet so I had a chance to look around the pub. I had been before, and although female, looked forward to another visit to this wacky pub. Colin put one of his records on in the lounge and we had a friendly chat about his beer that we were enjoying. I would visit again when in the area.

This would be a lovely pub- BUT for the present Licensee. The building commands superb views over the countryside towards the Clee Hills; it also has a skittle alley, a lounge room with books & an electric organ, and a terraced beer garden. Live music is to be had there several nights a week.
Unfortunately, I refuse to go there again until landlord Colin either keels over dead or retires. A more irascible, grumpy, taciturn individual I have yet to encounter- he is also prone to sudden & violent outbursts of fierce temper, I have seen him roaring and swearing ferociously at customers and jabbing his finger under their noses. I used to think he was a 'rough diamond with a heart of gold', but am now terminally disillusioned.
The bar is a shrine to sex- obscene postcards all over the wall, blow-up dolls hanging from the ceiling and rubber penises on the shelf above the bar will not endear female customers to the place.
No amount of live bands and fine views are worth the threatening atmosphere currently prevalent - you are much better off going to The Brewer's Arms up the road.

The Lamb without doubt is one of the most exciting and friendliest pub anyone could imagine. The whole place is festooned with Union Jack's and flags from various countries, plus some which are presented to the landlord Colin by students from all the world who attend the West Malvern Outdoor Centre, and then chill out in the evenings at the pub,to enjoy the selection of real ales, cider and live music.
The landlord "Mad Pierre"- Colin,Vaz,"Hippy Rob","Mary",Doyley,Dudley,Andy,"Yankee Nick",Liam,Ivor,George,Jumbo,Vincent,Paul the taxi,Rob of Taxi,Scotch Bob,Graham,Tony,Pat the Rat,Richard,"I look like a cueball"-Rav,The Full Monty Racing Club,Sharron,Angie xx,Jayne,"The whole pub loves him"-Jack, are just some of the colourful characters to frequent this pub.
So come along and enjoy a fun time, any time, everyone is made welcome at The Lamb the place to be in the west.

I've only been to The Lamb once, but it is a truly unforgettable place. They seem to never take decorations down, resulting in mish-mash of Hallowe'en, Christmas, Children in Need, and many other trimmings which make it very different from most pubs.

I could have sat there for hours just looking at the place, had I not been distracted by the 10-veg roast placed in front of me. And what a roast! More tasty food than I could eat, and cheap too.

Add to that friendly staff, wonderful cider (I drank Stowford Press), and a skittle alley......the only bad thing about this pub is that I don't live closer!

I think it's the best pub in the world... and Colin is great! (Hallo from Riga, Latvia)

I completley agree with lester spanner... The Lamb couldn't be a more friendly and welcoming pub, not just for locals but for visitors as well. The beer is excelent and the range of social activities are unheard of in any of the premises local competitors. An open mic night(thurs) a gig night(sat) each week showcasing a wide spectrum of very talented acts. A quiz night on a wednesday, and a sunday roast consisting of 4 meat and 12 veg, is the best being served locally. Skittle alley, pool table, dart board, 2.5 million tunes on the jukebox, large screen projector telly.... there is always a very friendly family-like atmosphere and the never ceasing banter is joined by new faces on a daily basis. I can only assume that the first posting about this pub from hard stare Karen is a result of walking into a different pub and forgeting the name of it.

the lamb is great. It is a "local pub for local people", but nevertheless is very friendly and great fun. I Dont think the hard stare comment is valid.
Not many pubs in Malvern have the relaxed attitude of The Lamb or have regular live music and (occasionaly) free curry! You cant say fairer than that

A very local pub, serving the immediate vicinity - they give strangers a hard look when you come through the door. Drinks are average and the food, although cheap, smells awful. I have never eaten any of it.
