The Lardicake is situated in a residential area outside of the town centre. My hopes were raised by a sign on the exterior advertising real ales and craft beers. Alas, the choice was Doom Bar or Landlord. The pub has 2 small rooms. The rear room was being used for a live singer. The England football game was being shown on TVs. This place had a fairly rough and ready feel to it. It had no character at all. Disappointing.

Unusual pub this one and therefore worth a visit. But still something about the place I couldn't put my finger on! The beer was in good condition, I tried the Banks' Milld. But still........something not quite right.

I'm a regular at this pub, which opens at 11am and seems to be open all day. The landlord/lady and their staff are very friendly and welcoming, serve a good pint of real ale plus Addlestones cloudy cider. There are teams for weekly quiz (Bourne Valley Quiz League), darts and crib. Food is not served. Well worth a visit if you're in Andover town centre.

Any pub that has a cider on pump deserves my praise. It's unusual in this area. Nice pub, great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Traditional old fashioned pub with not only three real ales (nice pint of Landlord) but also a cider on the pump. The riffraff who drink in the town centre seem to stay away from this place - which is also reasonably handy for the station. No food spotted, but a good place to drink.

two and half years since my last comment yet I drink in here every week. It's still a local pub with cracking characters. the 3 real ales are still same brands (Timothy Taylors Landlord, Courage Best and London Pride, with a Scrumpy on the pumps as well. This is a REAL pub. Large garden for smokers that has been well used all winter. Always worth a visit if ust to listen to the local wit all around you!

Excellent last time I visted, lovely well kept ales and reasonable prices. Not bad for a pub just a short distance from high street

Tiny place. Refurbed upstairs. Bit of a locals and yokels place these days...some characters in there its safe to say, some of them are on a bit of elastic, the only time you will see them is in the lardi, in the borough or walking to either pub

The beers are kept really well. It's a local pub with some cracking characters. Real ales comprise courage Best, Landlord and London Pride. If you don't like real pub s then stay away. Otherwise this is a pub worth the visit.
