Lime Tree, Paigntonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Bit of a spit and sawdust type pub, pretty empty and being so big felt like we ere the only ones in there. Staff friendly enough but the few customers in there did look a bit rough (as did we possible), we only stayed for the 1 pint, but the pint I had was good

A big rough looking lace that has probably seen better days. Fairly well priced drinks though. It has a suntrap outside area and inside is huge i can't imagine that they ever fill it these days though. Handy for Paignton bus station.
7/10

Can see that this used to be a nice place but sadly indicative of the times it's now very shabby.

Oh dear! The poor old Coverdale, as was. Once a thriving town centre pub and hotel, this great barn of a place has now had the heart ripped out of it. No redeeming architectural features remain and inside there is an uncomfortable colour scheme. Unsurprisingly deserted at 9.00 pm on a Saturday night. There were 2 hand pumps sporting their clips but I was greeted by the words of welcome from the friendly barmaid, "there's no real ales on tonight but they may be on tomorrow...". Sadly I would be far away and unable to chance my luck with them. Great forward planning by the cellar manager to have no ales on tap on a Saturday night. Lime trees are not indigenous in this part of the world and do not thrive in South Devon. This is possibly the only Lime tree in Paignton and goes to prove my point.

Clicky, very clicky, not the best looking place but can be enjoyable after a few. Beer 5/10

Top Pub, probably the best pub in Torbay if not in South Devon. Has live music 4 or 5 nights a week, proper rock and blues, you don't have to pay to get in either, unlike other shabby establishments. Great real ale, great staff and a great atmosphere. One of the highlights of my visits is when Telvis the landlord gets up and sings with the bands, usually Sweet Home Alabama ......... not a bad voice either!!!
Oh, did I say that the prices were quite reasonable too !! not bad for Devon anyway!
