Large Lloyds Bar version of Wetherspoon's that stretches a fair way back. Late on a Saturday evening it resembled a nightclub, with bouncers, a DJ, loud music, flashing lights and lots of smartly dressed youngsters sipping (or rather guzzling) cocktails. I probably looked a little out of place supping my pint of Orkney Dark Island. Only 3 other ales were on - Caledonian Deuchars IPA, Greene King Abbot & Banks's Maui. My initial hopes at spotting Weston's Old Rosie on handpull with a gleaming pumpclip was soon dispelled when I was told it was off. Why do 'spoons insist on displaying pumpclips from beers or ciders that are unavailable. Disappointing place. Although I'd like to think it's better during the day.

Huge JDW pub with their standard food menu (but the waiter misplaced my food order twice). Like in most JDWs: don’t expect a smile here. Some cask ales, with 3 guest ales that change frequently, also a few kegs, and a few interesting bottles/cans. .Worth a visit.

Quite faceless compared to the spoons at the other end of Union Street. The only really interesting things about this place is the coloured lighting. Beers were Deuchars IPA, Abbot, Doom bar, Old Speckled Hen, Windswept Brewery Blonde and Windswept Wolf. Went for the wolf at 2.19, well priced, tasted decent but wasn't kept the best. Decent place but try the other spoons. The only thing this place has on it is it's better priced.

Its reopened tonight and busy, very nicely decorated, new lay out with new doors fitted, i like it but sadly staff go awol at times and my biggest concern is nesbits using the disabled toilets and staff do nothing about it.

3 different ales were on offer between 6 handpumps,@ only 1.59 a pint. The pub is extremely long and so is the bar which for a sunday night in spoons had a large amount of staff serving so was served imediately.Only negative was being served the beer in a plastic glass (Spesh being 7.15 on a sunday!) 7/10

Awful place, although probably no worse than any other Lloyds bar.

Avoid on Friday/ Saturday nights and a Sunday if it is a Monday holiday, as it gets noisy crowded and almost impossible to get served.
At other times this can be a decent boozer, although you may have to avoid the screaming kids at the back family area.
Usually a selection of real ales and continental bottles on sale. Food service usually pretty good and quick.
No a great pub but not bad for a chain with a different clientel each day of the week.

Utterly dreadful place. Mink/Chav central!! Shame, as it's OK as a venue.

I was disgusted to be in this bar tonight. My husband daughter and myself went to a leaving night and went out for a cigarette after 2 drinks and the bouncer had the cheek to stop my husband and tell him he had to much to drink. Yes i did wrong as leaving I shouted at the bouncer but who wouldnt. So unless your satisfied to go to a pub and have 2 drinks then not be allowed entry again please dont go.

Good Bar, quite long so easy to get a drink in, well done up and alot of seats everywhere, the only thing is you can't get Jack Daniels instead it's Jim Bean which i suppose does the job.
