Not a big Spoons fan but would also tend to the view better than average as Spoons go.

Better than average JDW handy for the Station.
I was in early last Saturday and again later that evening.
Good service with four behind the jumps.
12 hand pulls with 8 for ales @ £2.15 a pint, 2 for Ruddells and 2 for Cider.

Ughhh, won't be going in there again. They wouldn't let us take our dog in the first time we tried, when we went without him the second time we saw they allowed dirty filthy tramps in but not dogs! Poor service, had to wait a long time and the staff were not interested, the food was greasy and cold. A really dreadful experience.

Another 'Spoon pub that only serves as a public toilet when I'm Stroud. Full of unhappy blokes drowning their self-inflicted sorrows in the cheapest lager in town. This pub was cheap and cheerful a few years ago but now it's become cheap and NASTY. I'm not against Whetherspoon and their ever expanding national pub empire but their low pricing policy seems to be turning their pubs into community centres for chavs' dads.

Desperate pub, desperate customers. They could give the stuff away and i still wouldn't be going in there again.

A typical Wetherspoons with all of the normal townie people. It is rough and ready but then again it is cheap!

Maybe have a quick pint here, but then head off to the other pubs.

Went in here and bought a pint of Marstons pedigree, very often a good pint (elsewhere). It looked like a pint of mud. Took it back to the bar, held it up to show how bad it was and was given a other pint and asked for 1.49 again.( yes it was that cheap).

Said this pint was not drinkable as it looked like mud and was told by the young barmaid it was 'real ale'!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what real ale looks like said I and this ain't it. After a conflab with the manager she came back , shrugged her shoulders and carried on serving. I'll dine out on this one for ages.

A pub and Weatherspoons to be avoided in favour of some better pubs in the town.
