The Bull, Horton Kirby

What to say that hasn't already been said about the Bull? It's hard to believe that I've only been visiting this gem of a pub for a little under two years - it seems as if it's always been a fixture in my beery life.

What makes it so good? The carefully sourced and impeccably kept selection of real ales from some of Britain's best and most innovative breweries and tasty home-made food, of course. However, the real beauty of the place is the warm welcome that greets you every time you step through the door. It's what stood out the first time I visited the Bull and keeps me coming back again and again (that and the beer and food!). Garrett and Lynne, Chloe and Boris, the pub dogs, and the regulars make this pub a pleasure to recommend. Long may it continue to thrive.
