Splendid selection of bottled beers, including some from Denmark and a few porters and stouts, several handpumps, lots of gins. And burgers.

Nice change from the usual London chains.

The Stag Inn, Llanidloes

A local's pub for local people which manages, nonetheless, to welcome non-locals. I smiled at the sight of the Fullers ESB, nigh on my local brew, but I know my Fullers and it was in tip top nick.

The landlord's dog is adorable btw. Big Screen TV showing wendyball stopped me having a third pint mind. Clearly Man U are as a big draw in Llani as elsewhere.

Funky, laid back, quirky furnishings and decoration, WONDERFUL beer, and lovely, lovely people. Both staff and customers. Did I say the beer was wonderful?
