The Station, Hither Green

This re-opened last week after being shut for gentrification - its a pretty extensive refurb with doors to previously inaccessible outside area, wood floors etc.

A pint of lager has gone up by about 40p. The food menu is quite extensive but not cheap - �9.95 for a burger and chips.

Not sure if they will continue to show football on Saturdays and Sundays - I suspect not .

Jam Circus, Brockley

I went to this pub fro Sunday lunch last week following a recommendation that it's a good pub to go to if you have small children. I found it to be exactly that, there is a room at the back with room for the youngsters to run around and a TV showing kids' dvds. This meant we were able to enjoy a leisurely roast without the youngsters getting bored. The food itself was good (generous serving of beef) though its not exactly cheap at �8.50. I would definitely return here and recommend it to families.
