The Selkirk, Tooting

Sorry but as the ex head chef of this pub who worked bloody hard to build it, I am finding some of the recent coments quite disturbing. Maybe the pub got too popular but with a change of management all has gone awry, who knows. Also Stout needs to get out more, all those reviews in one afternoon and some where def done with more than alcohol.

The North Pole, North Kensington

Well I just had to register after seeing some of the posts regarding this pub. Granted, as a local resident I too have had high expectations for this pub, and to be fair have been let down on a couple of occassions. The bitters have been rough at times, the food, mainly chips, has been iffy and the Sky keeps breaking. However after a beer and chat with the new manager on Tuesday when I couldn't watch QPR on TV, I understand what is happening and wait with anticipation for a great local to go to now certain things have happened and money spent. Take time to talk to him, I forget his name but he is the chef as well, and very passionate about what he does.
