The Radcliffe Arms, Hitchin

At last, someone has done somthing with the filthy old Radcliffe. The place is excellent now, with brilliant food - some dishes even are made with local ingredients - I had an excellent West Indian Curried Goat which was a special dish, made with goats from a local farm only about a mile away! They do need some covered outside space for the smokers amongst us, but aside from that, it is a brilliant effort. Excellent local real ale - choice of two from Buntingford Brewery, decent sized wine list, and the toilets are clean, unlike the privvy that was there before! Excellent place.
