The Old Parrs Head, Kensington

Moved to the area a few months ago and after an extensive search and many a tasting session in the pubs of the area later, I have decided that The Old Parr�s Head is the place for me. Great little pub and the only one in the area that try�s not to be anymore then what it is, a nice clean, friendly pub with friendly outgoing staff that serves I have to say some of the best lager I have had in a pub for a long long time. The San Miguel, Carling and Stella is top quality and the wine list even if it is a bit Limited, complements the Thai food perfectly. Never been a big fan of real ales but again the London Pride is a great tipple and every week there is a different guest ale for me to try so I�m slowly but surely been converted. Shame that the beer garden has been closed recently but judging from the lovely spring flowers that they recently added to there window boxes and from listening to the locals the Thai themed beer garden and the seats outside the front is the place to be for the summer, and I cant wait. All in all its quite refreshing to see a pub in London that sticks to the principles of what a great local should be....
