The Anchor Inn, Godalming

I've been to One10 pre- the foos service re-started, and since. In my view the food is so much better than the average pub fare it is a reason to keep going back. And I visited One10 when it was The Anchor. A darker, grungier, less welcoming place would be hard to imagine. If that is the sort of place you want to drink your pint, then I genuinely suggest that One10 is not for you. It is not an old man's boozer any more.

If, on the other hand, you fancy a coffee in the morning, a yummy meal at any time, and anything from a really nice cider on tap through beers and a decent wine selection, then do try One10. I don't think you will be told you are sitting in some old scrote's seat, drinking from his tankard or upsetting his mangy mutt. Oh, and check out the garden out back - it is beautiful!

The Anchor Inn, Godalming

I've been to this place since it reopened as One 10. They have really transformed the place. Used to be old trad pub, now contemporary, light, airy and serving you everything from a morning coffee through to a good selection of beers and wines. They have an awesome, cloudy cider on tap. Real falling over water. I understand that the food service restarts soon and that they are planning to serve some different and interesting stuff, going under the 'angels and demons' banner! You would never know it from the front view, but they have a lovely terraced garden out back. Vey nice place, great staff and so highly recommended. Only not a 10 as the food has yet to start. I will be going back to try it out.
