Under new management since the lockdowns and they have spent a lot of money landscaping the garden and adding a large covered heated seating area.
4 real ales, all in good condition,
No food, no frills, this is just a great proper old fashioned comfortable friendly pub

The Cow Roast Inn, Wigginton

A shame this pub has gone so far downhill. The staff have given up and the way they deal with noisy rowdy customers is to turn the juke box up! It seems they are so desperate for customers they don't dare say anything to them. The gents is about as bad as I've ever experienced. A noisy, scruffy pub with nothing to recommend it.

The Great Western Arms, Aynho

The food is the main attraction here - it truly is excellent, prepared by the chef/patron. Service was faultless, friendly and efficient, even though the place was packed with diners. You definitely have to book for dinner on Saturday evenings. However if you just want a nice pint in a real old characterful traditional country pub you will not be disappointed.
